1.2.4. BRAIN AID SYSTEMS

About us

BRAIN AID SYSTEMS is a group of people working on high-level programming of complex parallel systems. BRAIN AID PROLOG is the first result of this effort, combining a straight forward programming model with object oriented elements to provide access to the power of parallelism without the trouble of hacking around in hardware networks.

BRAIN AID PROLOG is still subject to development and enhancement . Please don't be misled by those little bugs; we are working on it and appreciate all comments and suggestions!

Future Developments

BRAIN AID PROLOG is under constant development. Future versions will include several enhancements and additional features:

  • Interface libraries for C programming and low-level access to link hardware are available

  • The object oriented approach will find it's way into PROLOG

  • Our development environment will grow more comfortable

  • Enhanced support for graphics is on the agenda,

  • more operating systems will be provided with host server programs

We are also working (long term) on Concurrent Prolog and other parallel languages.

Migration to hardware platforms ( PowerPC Achitecture is under current development ) other than the Transputer will happen sooner or later, parallelism is everywhere.

And of course we will emphasize development for interested users: we will write what you need ( if possible).

Please contact our support address for information.
